Exploitation at any price

In this project the consequences of exploitation of land and water in Sápmi for renewable energy is investigated.

In todays society there is an excessive need for renewable energy. As a consequence large areas of Sápmi are deforested and exploited for construction of wind turbines and mines, including the roads, railroads and power grids required. The land is only considered valuble if its productivity can be meassured in TWh of energy, tons of ore or m3 wood. Other values not easily capitalised are ignored.
