Critical Race Theory Reading Group
The Critical Race Group is a reading group where-in participants come together to discuss pre-read texts on issues related to the topic of Race on a monthly basis. At each meeting one participant suggests readings for the next session and we collectively discuss the texts, chiefly from critical perspectives. In addition to the reading group,
The Critical Race Group does and has undertaken other activities in the past. For instance, we hosted a departmental research seminar (Department for Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology), invited a guest lecturer publishing cutting-edge research on Race in Africa (Dr. Jemima Pierre) and had a roundtable discussion with a leading academic in the field of Race in Sweden (Dr. Ylva Habel).
